Extension of a lower ground and ground floor flats in a Georgian Mansion Block
This ambitious project took place in a Conservation Area at the heart of Pimlico, aiming to expand two ground floor and lower ground floor flats. The scope of work included the removal and underpinning of external walls to support load-bearing masonry for multiple flats above. To establish new foundations, a mini pile rig was employed, while ensuring that the extensions seamlessly blended with the surrounding mansion blocks in the area.
Throughout the project, our focus was on maximising natural light within the apartments, especially on the lower ground floor. We prioritised the creation of open-plan kitchen, living, and dining spaces, while also striving to provide en-suite facilities for the bedrooms, wherever feasible.
