Transformation of a 1 bedroom end of terrace house into 3 bedroom home

Our client made an exciting investment in this one-bedroom end-of-terrace starter home, conveniently located within walking distance of the vibrant centre of Woking, Surrey. This property served as their first step on the housing ladder. Situated on a plot that included a single-storey lean-to garage and a forward position relative to the neighbours, there was ample potential for expansion.


Thanks to the expertise of James Williamson Architects, we successfully obtained planning permission for a two-storey side and rear extension, as well as future loft conversion. These transformations nearly doubled the size of the house, resulting in a 3-bedroom family home complete with an additional ground floor cloakroom. This project not only significantly increased the value of the property but also provided our clients with a comfortable and modern environment to welcome their new baby.
