I’m James Williamson, a RIBA Chartered Architect based in Surrey.
Originally from the South West, I’ve always been drawn to the way good architecture sits quietly within its surroundings - enhancing both landscape and life.
After over a decade working with award-winning practices in the UK and abroad, I founded James Williamson Architects in 2020 with a simple goal:
To help people create homes that feel right - intuitive, enduring, and deeply personal.

Since opening our Surrey studio, we’ve worked with hundreds of homeowners across the South East and beyond - from the hills of Devon to the streets of London, and as far as Yorkshire.
Yes, we’ve secured planning permission in some of the UK’s most challenging postcodes. But what really drives us is helping people reimagine how they live.
Every project is a collaboration. A conversation. A shared effort to create a home that feels like you - not a copy of someone else’s Pinterest board.
