Pimlico Flat Renovations
Pimlico flats expanded and modernised to blend heritage character with light-filled, contemporary living.
In the heart of Pimlico’s Conservation Area, our clients wanted to expand and modernise two ground and lower ground floor flats without compromising the historic character of the surrounding mansion blocks.
We undertook complex structural work — including underpinning external walls, installing new foundations with a mini pile rig, and supporting load-bearing masonry above — to create seamless extensions that match the surrounding architecture. Inside, open-plan kitchen, dining, and living spaces now enjoy improved light, especially in the lower ground areas, while en-suite facilities and updated services bring modern comfort to each flat.
Bespoke lighting, smart home systems, and energy-efficient upgrades enhance usability and efficiency, while heritage-sensitive detailing ensures the new work blends effortlessly with the existing fabric. From feasibility and heritage impact assessments to Party Wall agreements and on-site supervision, we guided the project from concept to completion.
The result is a pair of light-filled, highly functional homes that retain their period elegance from the street, yet offer the space, flow, and amenities needed for 21st-century living. This project demonstrates how even complex conservation area work can deliver both structural integrity and modern comfort.
