Not sure what to do first? Start here.

Most people know what they want from their home. What they do not know is which move comes first: an architect, a builder, a survey, the council, or nothing yet. Answer six quick questions and we will tell you, without a sales pitch.

Six quick questions. Nothing you answer is stored or sent anywhere.

Question 1 of 6What do you want to change?
Question 2 of 6Do you have any drawings or a survey?

Old planning drawings, an estate agent plan or your own sketches all count.

Question 3 of 6Do you know where you stand on planning?
Question 4 of 6Have you settled on a budget?

A band is enough. The budget tool on this site can help you find one.

Question 5 of 6When would you like builders on site?
Question 6 of 6Which council area is the house in?

Optional. It lets us point you at the planning guide for your area.

Whatever your answers, the first step is the same: a free 15-minute Clarity Call, where we talk through where you are and tell you the sensible next move. Sometimes that move is to wait, and we will say so.

How we decide

The result turns on four things: whether you have anything on paper, whether you know where you stand on planning, whether you have a budget band, and whether you have a date in mind. The more of those are settled, the sooner a conversation pays off. The fewer, the more useful a little reading is first.

Whatever the result, the order of decisions is what we care about. It is the order, far more than the design, that decides whether a project feels calm or spirals. That is the thinking behind the Clarity Pack, and behind how we work, stage by stage.

  • Is this a sales funnel?

It is six questions and an honest answer. One of the four results is to wait, and another is to read our free guide before you talk to anyone. Every result ends with the same free 15-minute Clarity Call, because that is how every project starts with us, whatever the answers.

  • What happens to my answers?

Nothing. They stay in your browser and are not stored or sent to us. If you want us to know them, bring them to the call.

  • Why does it ask about budget without numbers?

Because a band is all that matters at this stage. If you have no band yet, the budget tool on this site gives you a first idea of what an extension really costs once contingency, VAT and the fit-out are counted.

Or skip the questions

If you would rather just talk it through, the free 15-minute Clarity Call is the first step for every project. We tell you the sensible next move, even if that move is to wait.
